Program:
How Annuities Can Help You Address Retirement Issues for your Clients
Our presentation summarizes the various types of living benefits, discusses current trends, and looks to where these benefits may be going. We'll use a case study to look at how two primary types of benefits behave in down markets and balance the need for income with a desire for account preservation.

Speaker:

Christopher H. Price, JD, LLM, CLU, ChFC
Chris Price is responsible for providing advanced sales support to financial professionals, with a focus on variable and fixed annuities. For more than 14 years, he has helped clients and advisors accumulate, distribute, and transfer annuity assets, using a holistic approach. Throughout his career, Chris has supported both retail planners and corporate operations, developing an expertise in annuity trust and estate planning.
Chris brings a unique perspective to planning, which comes from a broad background. He was a financial planner from 1983 to 1989. Next, he managed an insurance agency which included some of the wealthiest families in the country. In 1994, he joined Delaware Investments, how a member of the Lincoln Financial Group, as a product manager for insurance and investments. Chris was responsible for the product management of Delaware and Lincoln variable annuities, as well as the development of new insurance products. From 2000 to 2004, Chris directed his expertise in the field, helping financial advisors and their clients with advanced case issues. In 2005, he transitioned to the Advanced Sales Team as national director of advanced annuity sales. Chris is sought after for his experience on the use of annuities in trust and estate planning, in large part because of his unique ability to explain sophisticated tax rules in terms advisors can understand and put to use.
Chris holds a BA degree in history from Vassar University and both law and master's degrees from the Marshal-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. He began his career as a trust officer with Sovran Bank (now Bank of America) in 1983.
